Cuban has continued to do whatever is necessary to put a winning product on the court. He really does not mind losing money on a year to year basis.

He is smart enough to know that the winning product he has put together has increased in value, regardless of whether or not they make money from year to year.

Hillwood owns alot of real estate around the American Airlines Center that is struggling – really struggling. Perot’s lawsuit is based upon the Mavericks not generating enough interest to get traffic into the neighboring properties (office, retail & residential). Basically, Perot claims that the product isn’t good enough. Thus, Cuban’s argument is perfect: the product can’t be any better than world champions.

Pretty sure, the team’s making money, but not enough in their minds. Maybe, they should go by a 5% stake in the Clippers or the Bengals. One thing about Cuban is that he cares about the quality of the product he puts on the floor.
