I don’t think it would fit, Nash is a playmaker, both Wade and James are the ball handlers, so how would that work. The Heat use their PGs as decoys in a sense, bodies running around, and needing for them to shoot if necessary like Chalmers was used.

I am a Knicks fan, so Nash going to the Knicks excites me because of the chemistry with STAT and he knows the system But I love Billups as well so I’m lost.

Back to Nash/Suns. As stated above in an earlier post, I think if they do indeed trade him, do it for the local and younger to try and rebuild now.

And trade one of your big guys for something good in return to run with the likes of the Thunder, Grizzlies, Mavs, Lakers and Blazers…oh and the Nuggets who will be lethal this year unless some stupid trades are made.

No, he probably doesn’t. However, while the Suns say that if they were to trade him it would be to a destination that Nash prefers, they ultimately will do what is best for the Suns.

I could see a Nash trade because this Suns team is spinning its wheels a bit, similar to Houston. Not bad, not quite good enough to contend. This is the best time to trade him – no disrespect to Pheonix but he is gone to a title contender (Heat? Knicks?) when his contract expires.

Why not make a move to kick-start the rebuilding process? Getting local prospect Derrick Williams would be a great way to do that.

The wolves have been whoring out their pick like crazy. I figured you would throw a jab about looking for a PG with Rubio just coming but they want a veteran guy to show him the ropes. The selling point would have to be Derrick Williams from Arizona because he is local. Still seems unlikely.

If you actually read that Marc Stein article you’ll see that the wolves are interested to have Nash mentor Rubio, with Flynn being shipped off somewhere else (Knicks?)
