Rant: This sounds like the stupidest movie ever. Disregard LeBron’s “image,” this movie would suck even if he had gone back to Cleveland and hadn’t had the numerous PR debacles since last July. Why do people insist on making stupid movies? And the sad thing is, this horrible movie, whenever it is eventually made, is going to gross MILLIONS of dollars. People are going to pay their money to go see this worthless piece of garbage. They are going to willingly spend their time, money, and energy to go to a theater and watch something very very bad. Don’t do it, American populace. Just say no. Don’t get me wrong–I don’t consider myself a movie snob at all. Heck, I watch far too many bad horror movies, according to my Netflix suggestions. Why? Who knows. Those are at least redeemable in their unintentional humor. There’s not going to be anything redeemable about LeBron’s movie, though. JUST SAY NO TO THIS SOON-TO-BE-AWFUL MOVIE. Ebert out.

I’m not seeing how this decision was LeBron’s: Michael Rosenberg told Variety that because the script is still being developed, “we are not shooting this summer.”

If you want a (dark) comedy, how about a story about how an entitled and arrogant athlete wants to be the first athlete to be worth over a billion dollars, and then makes every single wrong PR decision one could ever make in the course of one year, thus destroying his “brand’s” worth rendering him persona non grata in 49 1/2 of the 50 states. Now, THAT’S comedy!
