I don’t know about sliding down any board, but according to a story that was broke today by a Houston sports talk radio show (The BOX), Washington Wizzard star Rashard Lewis has sure been doing his fair share of slipping and slidin’ up and down Le Bum Jame’s fiances box!!!

Yeah Knight has the potential to continue JC’s pg lineage. He is good just needs some time to learn pro game. He has the potential to be a much better player than Kyrie.

Yeah, but William Avery and Jay Williams were just like that too. I’m just not sold on the kid. I can see him being on the level of Jrue Holiday. Is that what you want out of the top pick? That might be a function of this draft though too.

Jay Williams isn’t a fair reprisal – the guy’s career was derailed by a motorcycle accident. Before that, he was an explosive player. He had all the makings of a top 10 PG in the league and was playing well. That being said, I agree, I’m not sold on Irving. He could turn out to be a decent pro, but at #1? To me, Derrick Williams is a sure thing. I wouldn’t pass on that guy.

Irving isn’t the prototypical “Duke point guard” that we’ve seen in the past. He may not be the lock the past few PG’s picked at #1 have been (Rose, Wall), but he will be a very good NBA point guard. While he doesn’t have the explosiveness of Rose or Wall, he’s a better shooter than Wall at this point.

Knight is going to be a legit player in the NBA. Unlike a lot of PG’s coming out of college, he’s got the ability to spot up from beyond the arc, which makes him a viable rotation player even while he learns the ropes. He’s not the type of athlete John Calipari has had a point guard (ala Derrick Rose or John Wall) and he may not have as high of a ceiling as those two, but he is a well rounded, smart, basketball player.

I agree. Can somebody name me a good NBA PG from Duke since Johnny Dawkins? I’m sure I am missing somebody, but I can’t think of one off the top of my head. All I can think of is Bobby Hurley, Jason (Jay) Williams, William Avery and they were all terrible.

Smart move would be to trade down to a spot you feel you can get Jimmer. Jimmer will sell tickets in Utah for years to come.He will be an exciting player for the Utah franchise and their fans. Jimmer is going to need some time to adjust to the NBA game and in Utah they will give him every chance to learn the NBA game , in other markets they will make him Adam Morrison.

* cleveland don’t take Kyrie…he has bust written all over him. Trade out and stock pile for next years draft when the draft is going to be loaded with talent.
