yeah, I don’t like the idea of the ‘diva’ player who disrespects the coach, refuses to abide by the game’s rules, etc. etc.

But I have nothing against players exercising their ‘free agency’ for all it’s worth. The owners get to do the same thing, so why should the players just be highly paid pawns when at the end of their career, their name and their legacy will be affected? It’s all in the way you do it though…and seeing how Dwight managed to shut up his ex from even mentioning his name on her reality show, I think this man is smart enough to understand that.

Are you kidding? No way Howard stays unless they make a power move. The only players worth keeping are JJ and Howard. Trade everything else you have for chris paul and you have a championship team. Howard will stay then.

Its cool that players can control their destiny, and have a say so here and there but people lets not forget that at the end of the day they are just employees like me and you. The only difference is they get millions to do something they love doing. They shouldn’t get spoiled too much.

Athletes have finally begun to gain some power. LeBron was not the first and Dwight certainly will not be the last to exert his will against a franchise. A book was written (Million Dollar Slaves) and it described in great detail what players needed to do to regain some leverage. The NFL had better wake up!
