There was a huge difference in 2006. Mavs players were practically diving out of Wades way and were still getting foul calls. 90% of the foul calls were phantom fouls, he wasn’t even touched.

Cuban’s comments directly led to the Mavericks’ loss in 2006. Stern’s animosity toward him is well-known, and the Game 3 and Game 5 officiating in that series was so blatantly biased toward Miami that had it been an election, there would have been a recall. Cuban is doing the right thing to keep silent… at least for now.
