I think JR Smith is universally known as the worst defender the league has ever seen. He’s like a pylon on defense.
He will always have a job because he gives you instant offense off the bench, but if you’re expecting defense then youre barking up the wrong tree.

JR’s lack of defense would more than make up for the little bit of offense that he provides. Bulls should first identify exactly what they need in a 2-guard. Tough defender, spot up shooter and maybe even a little veteran leaderships. After shooting yourself in the head over not signing Ray Allen they should try to find the next best thing.
