Heat’s Haslem sits out practice Friday just as precaution

Miami Heat's Udonis Haslem celebrates a basket against the Chicago Bulls during Game 2 of their NBA Eastern Conference Finals playoff basketball game in Chicago Reuters

Udonis Haslem, the man off the bench that helped change the Heat’s fortunes in Game 2 and even the series, sat out practice Friday because of his surgically repaired foot.

Relax Heat fans, it’s just precautionary. Deep breathes.

Haslem stayed out of running drills, according to a tweet from our man Ira Winderman with the Sun-Sentinel. If there had been a game tonight Haslem could have gone, but with time off until Sunday he got some rest.

He told 790 The Ticket in Miami he is feeling just fine (via Sports Radio Interviews).

“I feel pretty good. My foot’s feeling pretty good. I’ve just got to tip my hat to the training staff. … So far, everything’s going the way we planned it.”

Haslem played 23 minutes against the Bulls in Game 2 and provided the toughness and rebounding they needed. Not to mention a block on Derrick Rose, a few points and one emphatic dunk. He was a game changer.

The Heat need him to be again on Sunday for Game 3, so he got to rest on Friday.

Your obsession with LeBron is starting to get creepy, I haven’t heard anything from him lately. His name will mentioned plenty after Miami is holding up the trophy.

I think we ALL should ignore his posts from here on out. i will Always understand why some didnt like how The Decision went down, but to use all this energy to hate someone for doing what he wanted to do and it not be illegal will always baffle me. and i had some sympathy for cav fans at 1st, but all this whining about, “he could of let the team know ahead of time….”. teams trade players ALL the time w/o notice(ask Kendrick Perkins) so i have NO love for organizations when it happens to them. they do what LeBron did ALL the time!!!

LeBron will not be holding up any trophy.
With his ” decision” he didn’t just go away…. he trashed Cleveland on the way out the door.
    For this he must pay.
“I will not rest until I bring a Championship to Cleveland”… he boasted and now he’s counting how many rings he’s going to bring to Cuba North ?
    I don’t think so.
If you think I’m hammering this guy now.. wait till they get run from the playoffs.
Mrs. Wade will be begging me to climb off her.
