The Spurs just swept the Jazz. Why is this is written like the Spurs lost the series and have no hope? It’s like someone pulled the article out of the 2011 trash.

They are in the same boat as the Celtics.
The younger teams in the conference have taken over and it is time to face the facts.

The Spurs did very well but you can’t keep looking back.

it’s ok spurs. like parker said, they will always be a good team. just some tweaks and they can be a contender again.

Even great management like the Spurs can’t fix this one. You’ve got three aging stars who are locked in. Tim Duncan has been reduced to a respectable role player. Moving him doesn’t make much sense even if someone would take him. There isn’t much cap flexibility, they are undersized, unathletic, and on top of that, other teams in the West like the Thunder and Grizzlies have gotten better. The run is done. Start the rebuilding process.

Great management that always seems to obtain the right players with the right chemistry. They will be contenders and back in the playoffs where it only takes 4 out of 7 wins to move you on and anything can happen. The Lakers will just be a couple of years behind them.
