I’m not big on hiring Dunleavy. I wouldn’t mind Byron Scott, he is still under contract with the Cavs.

Disagree. Scott is vastly overrated as a coach. His success has come with true floor generals making the critical decisions; Scott’s X’s and O’s are limited relative to other coaches. And he doesn’t bring with him any defined system, which makes it hard to know exactly what he brings to the table, other than he played for the Lakers and “Kobe likes him.”

Keep Shaw for next season, Let Coach K go through his final season run at Duke( notice he brought in Capel as an Assistant for this season, maybe to hand the reigns over), Coach K goes to London with Team USA; wins gold and gets ready for the NBA seaon in LA with Kobe, Howard and Chris Paul… Not that I really want that, but you can’t say it would be bad business for the NBA to have that team in LA.

The Lakers have an opportunity to keep their fans happy and keep the dynasty leaders in-house. Byron Scott should be considered first and foremost as he is the traditional type who has been seasoned by others and is now ready to be the Lakers mentor. He is smart and experienced , both as a player and coach , and is well respected.
The second choice should be Kurt Rambis who is well familiar with the Jackson theory of coaching .
Mr. Buss keep it in house .
