The Celtics are done because Big Baby may leave? That’s like saying the Bulls are done if Taj Gibson leaves.

I still remember that game v.s. the Pistons when Big Baby first came to rescue. I still remember the Shrek and Donkey game. Glen may have screwed up this year, but he will be remembered.

This was the season when Baby had to show his maturity and start paying dividends for the Celtics. And he did show it in the first half of the season. He has some great moves under the hoop, he improved his outside shot, and he accepted his role as leader of the second team.

But then it went to hell late in the season and in the playoffs, both the second team and Baby personally. He gained weight. He lost his shot, he lost his moves and got stuffed instead, he made some boneheaded plays.

Now he thinks he should be a starter. I don’t think Baby will start for anyone, but hopefully he’ll grow up on another team. Too bad it didn’t happen on the Celts.

Glen Davis is made to come off the bench….but this is the NBA and some team will overpay him to be a starter….

You can’t take a current situation and use past history as the argument. The Lakers are locked into contracts with player, and it’s starting not to work. Has nothing to do with past success.

The older he gets, the funnier the nickname will be, kind of like calling a fat guy ‘tiny’ or a bald guy ‘curly.’

But why would it be weird to ser him in another uniform? It’s not like he’s Larry Bird. As you suggest, he’s a good role player, not the face of the franchise.

I say bring Big Baby to Philly. Doug Collins will make better use of him. We need someone to hog the paint.
