In case you thought otherwise Boozer, Rose to play Wednesday

This was never really in doubt, but we’ll make it official:

Carlos Boozer and Derrick Rose will play in Game 2 Wednesday night in Chicago.

Coach Tom Thibodeau said everyone participated fully this morning at shootaround and good to go, according to the Associated Press. Boozer is battling turf toe and Rose is playing through a sprained ankle that he aggravated at the end of Game 2.

The Bulls are going to need more out of both to even this series at 1-1. The Bulls defense in Game 1 was the real issue — Joe Johnson and Jamal Crawford were hot — and that is the end the Bulls have to tighten up.

But the Bulls margin for error was never that large because their offense was all Rose all the time. If he is slowed by his ankle — and the fact he didn’t draw one free throw in Game 1 says he is — the Bulls have to shut down the Hawks to have any chance.

But the Bulls will have their two big guns ready to go.

At halftime of Game 1 b/w the Hawks-Bulls, the Hawks were up by 1. This was when the Bulls played ‘turrebly’, didn’t have consistent defense, many turnovers, shot horrid, and the Hawks were above 50%.

One can say all that they want about the Bulls, how they lack playoff experience, but one thing they do well is face adversity. They were one of two teams who haven’t lost 3 games in a row this season. I know this is only game 2 of the series, but this is why Thibs was CoY.

I’m sure Boozer will be there physically, but will he play or just stand around like he’s been doing these entire playoffs?

I actually prefer to see Gibson on the floor.
He is a better defender and gives 100% on both ends of the court.

Boozer has talent but a lot of players in the NBA are just as talented.
    You gotta have heart Carlos.
Watch your own Center at work. Noah is not the most physically gifted player but he makes up for it by busting his ass every night.

Boozer is soft, why do you think Chicago was his only contract offer, Rose
should slap him upside the head
