And if “Dude” is later said not to have gotten in “a fight”? Fact is, you don’t know the facts. You are speculating based on the info you have. So equating someone else’s speculative appraisal of changing details with their suggesting that it “makes it better” is just more speculation. I mean, what do you really know?

Something about this doesn’t ring true to me. If he “hit” a waitress of course they should throw the book at him. Something, however tells me this is probably a huge misunderstanding. Why would even a drunk Derrick Caracter want to beat up a waitress? More likely to me, the pushing and pulling was minconstrued by the waitress and management staff at the establishment as hostile when more than likely was a drunk guy trying to get laid in New Orleans on a Saturday night, Sunday morning. I’m sure he was beligerent to the police but I’m also pretty sure he never “beat up” anyone and I really don’t like the fact that the police’s initial report of her being pregnant were false. Why was the story so misconstrued? Hopefully it wasn’t anything to do with any Hornets fans trying to get over on the Lakers, but who knows….just doesn’t seem right.
