The Spurs played pretty good basketball only to squeek out the win. The Grizzlies are a bad matchup for them. I think the Grizzlies’ youth will ultimately cost them this series, but they are a solid defensive team with a big frontline that bothers the Spurs. I think the bigger problem for the Spurs will be the Thunder in the second round.

I really don’t see them winning without Manu in the line-up and that might be a scary thought as it gets deeper into the post-season. I still see them taking this series against Memphis despite the good fight they have been putting up, but you really wonder if age is becoming a real issue for this team. It’s not the regular season anymore and it is starting to show. Or maybe this could just be a matchup issue with a bigger, possibly more athletic Grizzly team. Either way it’s been a really good series and it shows that Memphis looks to have a bright future.
