Taking CP3′s pick-and-roll out won’t be the deciding factor, though it would certainly make things easier for the Lake Show.

The deciding factor will probably be the interior play of Bynum and Gasol. If those two don’t start scoring in the paint, then I expect a lot of shots being jacked up by Kobe as he’s harassed by Ariza.

My Lakers do not need to wake up. They are perfect the way they are. The game plan was to lull the Hornets into a false sense of security and they have done just that. Anyone who says that this was not part of Phil and Kobe’s overall plan is, at best, uninformed. You poor lost souls who do not understand greatness. I pity you all!

As important as Paul and the pick-and-roll is for the Hornets, the key to this series is the Laker bigs. If they show up, impose their will, pound the ball inside, and cause havoc around the rim, the Lakers win this series easily – even if Paul is spectacular. The Hornets will not shoot 59% again. They have to play almost perfect to win a game, let alone the series.
