Hockey and football. That’s all that’s left, and football could get hit if these negotiations don’t go well. Right now the NBA’s the demographic and popularity ‘dead man walking’ of major sports.

The NBA is slowly becoming Major League Baseball. All of the stars are moving to the largest markets. I don’t see how teams like Minnesota, Cleveland, Charlotte and Utah will be able to compete long term against big markets.

No owner can make money in that dump.Hardly any luxury boxes, no decent corporate sponsors in that dump of a town or no decent TV deals.KC would be better than Suckramento.

You Kings fans shot yourself in the foot. Same goes for Seattle. Losing a team to OK City! Shame on you!

I feel bad for the fans, but anyone sitting here crying for Sacramento has completely forgotten that these same jerks took this same team out of Kansas City to put it in Sacramento in the first place. It was no less devastating for us than it is for these fans, and if the NBA wants to turn their head in desperation as guys like this take a team’s name and a city’s soul in the process of going from town to town for the next group of gullible residents then we need to stop supporting the NBA. Then again, based on the state of the league we aren’t so what’s a team worth with no CBA and imminent contraction?

Sacramento is a great basketball town. And the Maloofs should be ashamed of themselves for pulling the old “Art Modell” on that city..

Back when that team was a contender, the Kings fans were considered near the top in the NBA. Other teams hated playing there because of the noise, with the cowbells and such. They deserve a team, but then again, so did Seattle.

This sucks, I remember when the Wolves played Sacremento in the playoffs a few years ago and that building was going crazy. It sucks that a bunch of greedy owners just take it away and their buddy Stern does nothing to stop it. Stern is so greasy and slimy the only thing he or the owners know is greed. This is the second market they have screwed over. I feel for you Sacremento.
