Let me see now… Miami… two shooters, one basketball, no point guard, no bench and an overrated, overpaid softie power forward. Lot’s of balance there all right! (NOT!).

Boston: With Perkins traded, no center. Ya, like that’s real balanced too! (NOT!). Last I checked teams still have to name a player as their “man in the middle” and unless fat old Shaq and Jermaine can get up out of their wheel chairs once in a while to play without the aid of a cane or a walker, Boston simply has none.

You seriously think the Heat or the Magic are a more “balanced” team than the Bulls??? Dude, put down the pipe.

The Bulls are not the no. 1 because of D. Rose; they are the no. 1 because they are the most balanced team in the NBA right now. Only SA (when healthy) and LA (when awake) can claim to be on par with the overall balance of the Bulls.

Many of the Bulls come from strong collegiate pedigrees and have experienced the pressure of March Madness. Noah (Fla – 2 titles), Boozer and Deng (Duke), Rose (Memphis), Asik (several international championship tournaments), Gibson (USC) and Bogans (UK) all have that pressure packed experience under their belts too.

This Bulls squad has their eyes on the prize; all they want now is one shining moment!

Granted, this doesn’t match up with Boston or LA’s playoff experience but it’s still a lot more than none at all. I heard George Karl on the radio asked about the Bulls having only one scorer in Rose, and he said that’s simply not true since Rose developed a great outside shot because defenses now have to come out to meet/double him at the three point line and that opens up a lot of open shot scoring opportunities for Boozer and Deng.

This Bulls team also parks their egos at the door and only takes things one game at a time; I just don’t see the added pressure of the playoffs rattling them at all. What offsets the Bulls lesser playoff experience is their fresh young legs when compared to an aging roster of mostly over 30 guys on the Lakers, Celtics and Spurs. JOMO.

They have the league MVP, the leagues best overall record heading into the playoffs and it seems as though they have all the pieces in place to make a serious run. Their probably going to look dominant in the 1st round, everyone is gonna say they look like the best team but ultimately I think their youth is going to let the hype get to their heads and they will fall to a more balanced, experienced team, whether that’s the celtics/magic/heat. When their backs are against the wall they are going to put the game on rose’s shoulders the same way the cavs did with lebron and you will see that you need more than one outstanding player to win in the playoffs. I don’t think that this is their year but make no doubt they will be a VERY dangerous team for years to come.

Since when did being consistently good for an 82 game season become a negative and being streaky hoping you can turn it up a notch become the goal?
If the Bulls play like they did during the regular season and the Heat and Celtics do the same then the Bulls will be in the finals.

2nd, that’s not a true stat at all.. in the last 31 years the nba championship has been won by a number 1 seed 71% of the time.. and of those the number 1 overall won it half of the time..

your third statement would also apply for miami who have a team that just got assembled, have never played together in a playoff series.. and the celtics are the going to win the east? I don’t understand how people give the heat the exception and then say the bulls can’t hang..

2nd, consider that a #1 seed reaches the NBA Finals less than half the time.

3rd, consider that star players like Derrick Rose almost always have their heart broken a couple times before they and their team develop the grit to win in the playoffs. Rose hasn’t had his heart broken in the NBA yet because he hasn’t had a contending team until now.

Bulls will fall to the Heat or Celtics, but they will be back at it next year and many years to come.

but as for his comments, nobody gives props to the bulls, people were predicting them to win 50-53 games max this year, everyone was thinking of reasons not to give the MVP to Derrick Rose, and they aren’t getting any respect as the team with the best record in the entire league. The bulls will come out of the east, and the heat will learn that you need a team with a bench to win a title
