As I type a team of 18 wheel moving vans by now have backed up to the loading dock of the old Sactown Cow Barn previously known as the Arco Arena and are loading up and heading for Anaheim, CA tonight. Rollin, rollin, rollin, keep them movin' vans rollin', Ana-heim!

Good thing that the Lakers pulled an overtime win tonight from up their collective unmotivated lazy arses because otherwise Laker Homer who "lives within 10 minutes of the Honda Center in Anaheim", would by now be up at the top of the bridge over LA Harbor waiting their turn to jump, as basketball crazed Orange County, CA starts to break out the old welcome wagon for the Kings!

Yeah, my brain can't process it.. dur durr durrr. Should of known.

Now I know its all for the money, but will the money be there? Are the Anaheim whatevertheygetcalleds gonna produce as much money as they can in Sacramento. What with converting the Clippers and Lakers fans in Anaheim to whatevertheycallthems fans? Shit if I grew up in Anaheim I would've grown up as a Laker fan and adding the Kings with the Anaheim backdrop wouldn't change that for me.

They have a long history of moving around the country.

They were the Rochester Royals from1945 to 1957.
They were the Cincinnati Royals from 1957 to 1972.
They were the Kansas City-Omaha Kings from 1972 to 1975.
They were the Kansas City Kings from 1975 to 1985.
They were the Sacramento Kings from 1985 to 2001.

Out of the 30 teams in the NBA the Kings finished 29th in attendance this year.
In 2010 they were 29th.
In 2008 they were 30th.
In 2007 they were 27th.
How long did anyone think this was going to last?
It is not all that surprising that they are moving.. but it is really dumb that they are moving to Anaheim.
When is the NBA finally going to give in and put a team in Las Vegas?

Is the market for an Anaheim NBA team even that large though? I mean, it's so close to two LA teams that it doesn't make any sense. Wont most of the Anaheim Lakers fans still stay Lakers fans? Or would they actually have a huge market?
