I also really want to buy one of the petite giraffes in the DirecTV commericials. I know that players like Derek Fisher and a "VERY SELECT FEW" other members of the association are good people and have the best intent for the league to move forward. I still believe that the vast majority could care less about what their imprint on the sport and the association as a whole really means. They believe that because they are talented that they are entitled to earn millions of dollars. I believe that all first rounders should make $1,000,000.00 the first four years ($250,000.00 annually) that they are in the league, so that each franchise can truly determine what their actual worth to any franchise may be. I believe that would force most players to stay in college to earn a degree and therefore bolster both college athletics and give the NBA a chance to provide the best possible product and players for a realistic price. By doing this anyone could actually afford to take their kids and/or family to a game and actually afford to buy a soda. Attendance would grow at each venue and most likely people would return to buying merchandise again.
