Jalen Rose landed in some hot water for comments surrounding his Fab 5 ESPN documentary, but he apparently has a more pressing problem to deal with.

Rose was arrested for drunk driving in West Bloomfield Township, Michigan, back on March 11, the Associated Press reports.

TMZ spoke with Rose’s Los Angeles based attorney Keith Davidson, who tried to dodge the issue saying, “We look forward to working with the authorities in Michigan and addressing these matters in court, not in the press. We have no comment at this time.”

Rose was a member of the Fab 5 and spent three years at Michigan followed by a 13-year NBA career that is primarily remembered for being in Indiana but included stops in Denver, Chicago, Toronto and even New York City.

Rose is currently an NBA analyst with ESPN.

Hope ESPN cans him. He’s useless. He tries to be Stephen A. Smith, but at least Smith knows what the heck he’s talking about. Time to take the bloom off the Rose – can him, ESPN.

Lot of haters out here today! If he and Grant Hill are cool so am I with his explanation on his comments. It was obviously an unfortunate comment; but he was the producer as well as the star of that show and obviously millions saw and are still commenting on it; so it sounds like a very successful film to me?

I’m not a Jalen Rose fan per se, but I don’t think ESPN should fire him over this. If you don’t like how he does his job on ESPN, or his presence on their programming doesn’t add value to the broadcast, yeah, THEN fire him. But this is nothing more than an excuse to gt at someone you personally don’t like. If he was jaywalking, you’d probably try to make that a felony just so you had an excuse to get rid of him.

As far as his comments on the Fab 5 special go, SO WHAT? Those WERE his thoughts and comments WHILE THEY WERE IN COLLEGE. What was he supposed to do? Bow down and tell Grant Hill and the others from Duke that he wishes they were teammates and could have been on their team instead of being at Michigan? I found nothing he said to be anything shocking. Frankly, I’d have been disappointed if he’d had any other attitude toward Duke than what he had.

Haters will look for ANY excuse to vilify a guy. Good luck, Jalen. Hope you get this straightened out and learn from it.

I guess he was “lucky” he didn’t kill someone. The comparison between driving drunk and jaywalking was revolutionary.

I like Jalen Rose, always have. People who got outraged by his opinions about Duke basketball are probably all the uneducated white trash who werent smart or successful enough to attend Duke. For any black kid coming out of an urban environment his sentiment towards the Duke program is still pretty on target today.

Duke basketball is still comprised of a majority of white/educated/high income families because they pride education over the game of basketball and always have. There’s nothing wrong with that, it’s who the college has been forever and its why they are treated with the respect and class they deserve.

Totally bad timing for Jalen with a DUI after a major overraction. Hope he keeps his job, but he put himself in this situation, if he’s fired he only has himself to blame. People who get high and mighty over DUI issues are nothing short of the biggest hypocrites, and no I’ve never had a DUI.

It’s Coach Ks fault. If he had recruited the poor guy, he wouldn’t have ended up like this.
