The Bulls can bang with the Celtics big men but the Celtics are not going to be able to run with the younger and faster Bulls.

Basketball isnt about only 2 players, tell me now who is the best defensive team in the East? and again tell me who is the top rebounding team in the East? Where is Boston rated in rebounding in the East? Hmmm… Almost dead last. LOL

What it’s going to come down to is Pierce and Allen vs. Deng and whoever the Bulls decide to play at the 2. The other slots will fall in line with each other and wash each other out.

Since the beginning of 2011 the Bulls have been playing the best basketball in the East hands down. They have not lost to anyone that matters in my opinion and since the new year they have yet to lose to a top team. The Bulls have a very deep roster and are continuing to get better as the season progresses. Rose manages to take over games late in the 4th quarter and the role players are there to support him with consistency. This team is playing with a fire lit under them like they know the title is theirs.

I like Chicago a lot but–maybe this is just me–I feel like their offense gets really predictable in the late-game. Rose was the MVP of that Miami game, but down the stretch he blundered more than he succeeded. It was Deng scoring off a couple of broken plays that was the key. Chicago’s D has been awesome but I’m uncomfortable predicting deep playoff success for a team that, at the end of games, seems to depend on one dude being a Hero or others tying up broken plays. Fun to watch though.

This young Bulls team has shown a lot of tenacity, poise and confidence when facing division leader teams. Also, having a defensive oriented coach does help a lot. I think they will go deep in the play-offs, maybe even win it. The only fault I see, is that sometimes they’re lull into complacency when playing against a less imposing team. This season’s play-offs will be really interesting, specially the second round.
