Marion? Get serious, Marion is a former 21 ppg scorer, and lifetime right at 50 percent from the field. Brewer is none of those things, and only a mediocre rebounder despite his lack of offense, and not much of a defender either, though that won’t matter to Dallas of course… but take it from a Minnesotan, his career with the Wolves was not marked by great effort either, and that should matter to them. This is a zero impact acquisition, it won’t matter even a little bit, this dude cannot contribute to a top level NBA team, he just doesn’t have that ability, or attitude. Come playoff time, he’ll be a garbage time contributor only.

Not that bad of a deal. This deal was done seemingly to address the “Who’s going to guard Kobe?” concern come playoff time with no Caron Butler. Cuban has deep pockets. The window to win is now for the Mavs.
