They do this because they needed cap space and they also get a first round pick from memphis so they might get the 14 and 15th pick

I was being sarcastic. Thabeet is horrendous…and he is so much worse than his stats indicate. The Grizzlies are better off playing 4 on 5 than have him on the court. The idea of trading him for anything more than string cheese or a yo-yo is amazing news. This is like bizarro world where the Grizzlies are trying to make a smart move and the Rockets are helping another team out.

Thabeet is averaging 1.2 points per game and 1.7 rebounds a game. He can’t play. As least Battier is a functional player. I don’t get this one at all.
