The only thing I can think of is that this is a bit of reverse psychology by Boston.

They know OKC gave the Lakers some fits last season. OKC’s biggest weakness is their front line…sothey send them one of the best defensive centers in the game to stop LA before they reach the Finals!

Or maybe Ainge just sucks as a GM.

I don’t get the trade at all. They’re giving away Perkins even though they’re top competition in the East have the following:

a) Heat: Wade and LeBron driving to the lane
b) Bulls: excellent rebounders in Joakim Noah and Boozer
c) Magic: DWIGHT HOWARD

Perkins to OKC?!?

With the two old and broken down O’Neals on your team, they trade away one of the best defensive centers in the game?

What am I not seeing here? I can’t see how that makes sense for Boston but whatever…Lakers gonna threepeat!

Thanks Danny Ainge, you just gave the East away to Miami. Shaq’s big behind is going to be hooked up to an IV and oxygen tank with Wade and LBJ running the court. Perkins was the only big man that I thought could give the Heat serious trouble in the playoffs.
