Davemmm, no, your wrong.

Rebounds per game is a crappy, crappy way to decide the best rebounder — back in Wilt's/Russell's/Unseld's day the game was played at a faster pace and the overall shooting percentages were lower, so there was much more opportunity to get a rebound. With Nate Thurmond, we know at the end of his career (when they finally started tracking offensive rebounds as a stat) he used to grab 19 percent of the available rebounds when he was on the court. Rodman grabbed more than 20 percent of the available boards for 10 years. I can go on and on, but the bottom line is I think he statistically matches up with any rebounder in history.

Rodman was also a very good defender. He was a defensive stopper. If you can board and defend that's 2/3 of the game. There are plenty of offense only guys in the Hall, guys who played 1/3 of the game.

I agree that its a joke to say its racial.
Short memory if you think he is the best rebounder in nba history.

Dennis Rodman - career 13.12 rpg, ONLY rebounded, terrible offense and poor passer
Wilt Chamberlin - career 22.89 rpg, worst year he averaged 18.2 rpg
Wes Unseld - career 13.99 rpg on knees that prevented him from jumping, more steals and more blocked shots than Rodman, his assists counted for more points than Rodman scored

Wilt Chamberlin was clearly a better rebounder, Unseld arguable better.

Mullin and rodman over Reggie? Who's on the selection committee? Bridgette nielson and a bunch of crackheads? Rodman averaged probably 2.4 pts over his career. Like Mullin, but no effin way he belongs in before Reggie. I say ask mullin he who thinks was better. He never lit the garden up for 40 plus and 25 in the 4th quarter of the playoffs. This Is a travesty and racialist.
