The MRI on Paul Pierce’s left foot and ankle has come back negative, according to A. Sherrod Blakely of CSN New England (on twitter).  Pierce did have a big bag of ice on his sprained wrist Monday.

Blakely adds that Pierce is expected to play Wednesday against the Nets despite the injuries.

Before you ask if he can just take the All-Star Game off to rest all weekend, know that the league frowns upon guys who play Wednesday then suddenly are to hurt to play in the All-Star Game, then have a miraculous recovery. And by frowns we mean fines and worse to make you play. Guys in black suits and sunglasses suddenly at your door frowns. You do not mess with the NBA’s marketing apparatus.

Good news for the Celtics, however that it is nothing serious.

Funny you say he’s all washed up when he’s perfoming his best this year, and yeah he only made one point against the heat, but keep in mind the guy put up some tough D and great assists to get the job done. All said and done, we beat the heat with only 9(techincally)heatlhy players, can you imagine the beat down the Celtics will give when we have more players healthy? AND if you want to talk about fakers..I mean the Lakers..then we can do that too.Take a look at Derek Fisher or even Kobe, then we’ll talk :)
