Trading Bynum for Carmelo would be the stupidest thing the Lakers could do. This farsical rumor was started by some idiotic sports media buffoon with too much time on his hands and not enough intelligence to think it through. Carmelo doesn't play defense and wants too much money. Bynum is getting better every game and if he stays healthy he will be a defensive force to be reckoned with in the playoffs. Let the pathetic Knicks get suckered into paying this perennial loser to much money for too little performance. Kobe Bryant is the greatest player in the world and the Repeat World Champion Lakers will Threepeat this June over Team Gangrene!

I happy to hear this. Bynum is a special role player during the play-offs where defense is emphasized. An analogy: The basketball season is like a baseball game...in the 9th inning (basketball play-offs), we bring in our reliever, Bynum (Defensive stopper). We need Bynum for that one portion of the season. Yeah, I know the regular season is important for play-off seeding, etc...but ultimately, Bynum needs to be there at the end healthy to go against great defensive teams like the Spurs and Celtics.
