Think about it really guys. This isn't really about money because he's going to make tons of it in NY with endorsement deals galore. You also have to take into account he will literally be the face of the Knicks and pull in millions of dollars, so money won't be an issue.

Also in the mix, his wife gets the exposure she needs for her career. His wife wants NY just as much as he does.

Finally, don't think for one NY minute Chris Paul is soaking all of this in. Everyone states everything but the obvious, which boggles the mind. Anthony has all the leverage and won't sign any extensions unless it's a NY trade.

If Denver continues to play cute, they lose out and it will be no ones fault but their own. He has already made them aware where he wants to play, unlike LeBron did. C'mon guys get a clue.

What kind of news is this? If they don't trade him what other options does he have? Either to pick up a one year option and do this all over again next year or sign the extension to avoid the risk of losing millions signing a new agreement under the new CBA. Of course he has to look at signing an extension IF he isn't traded. This doesn't change the fact he wants out and Denver knows it. They will still either have to pull the trigger or risk losing him at some point (either prior to the deadline next year or after randomly demanding a trade again) and I highly doubt any of their front office people are as naive as the people believing this story that there is a real chance he wants to stay in Denver. Nothing has changed. This is just false hope for Nuggets fans.
