i used to like garnet then he went to boston and started believing hes a thug wanna be.. its sad.. mid life crisis? anger management classes??.. cant image why he would be angry for. hes got everything. maybe needs to be spanked and put in time out for a bit..

I couldn’t agree more. For all of the emotional antics KG exhibits on a regular basis, writers (especially on this site) clamor for this drama to write about it. As I commented on with the Frye incident, it was a cheap shot but not flagrantly dirty as it was made out to be. Same with this. Barea pulled down hard on KG’s arm as happens multiple times to multiple players with the same reaction throughout the course of a season. This is nothing different.

The ref INEXPLICABLY grabbed KG’s arm a second time as he was walking away to prove a point, not to make the correct call. It’s as if he was provoking him. If anything, admonish the ref. KG did his usual elbow extension – fine, give him the tech – but he didn’t lose his temper despite the ref purposefully agitating him.

Someone in the league needs to drop Garnett. You’d think for an NBA veteran he’d be a little more well put together and collected. Nope… just another thug personality who thinks he’s intimidating the crap out of every team. His real wuss personality comes out when teams shut him down, like Dallas did.

I’d pay to see Griffin let out some aggression (which he actually supreses and uses as fuel) and take him out.

He barely touched the flopping Barea (and I like Barea). And then barely touched the ref. Writers’ overreaction to KG while pretending to be reasonable is just as predictable.

KG pick being tough with a <6" guard? Shocking.When does this ass finally get the suspension? That play happens numerous times every game, yet KG throws an elbow.

Can't wait until he does this in the playoffs and finally gets suspended so Celtics fans can cry, "Yea but if we'd had KG it would have been 3 in a row in Perk was healthy last year!!"

I don’t get it. Why’s KG in trouble here? The ref had his hands on KG who was walking away. He’s even pushing him. There was no need to do touch him, much less push him. No one will ever accuse me of being Mr. Sensitive but even I know better than to lay hands on a big upset dude who’s walking away from a confrontation and I don’t care what my job is; don’t touch him unless you have to, he’s obviously upset. And really, it doesn’t matter that this is KG, right? I realize that in the dictionary next to the phrase ‘short fuse’ are pictures of KG, Mike Tyson, John Rocker, Randy Johnson, etc. These are guys who go off with little provocation and react out of proportion to the slight, real or imagined, done to them. This is not some mystery. But anytime someone is walking away from a confrontation DO NOT TOUCH HIM. Honestly…

He should’ve been ejected for that, but since he wasn’t, he needs to be suspended for one game. Anything less than that is an embarrassment, there’s no excuse, you can’t put your hands on an official.

I like Garnett but isn’t touching a ref grounds for a suspension or fine? I saw the game and thought, man he’s lucky he didn’t get thrown out of the game for that. If that had been the ref who threw out Duncan for laughing on the bench, forget about it.
