Quote of the Day: Kevin Garnett doesn’t like anything Lakers

Jan 31, 2011, 8:10 AM EDT

Kevin Garnett

“You got a better chance of catching Bin Laden.”

Kevin Garnett to a Lakers ballboy who asked for his autograph on a ball, according to Marc Spears of Yahoo (via twitter).

Not very cool, but very KG. Andrew Bogut tweeted later that KG said worse to a Bucks ballboy. Don’t worry, when asked about this in the next couple days KG will say he was misquoted, or he’ll backtrack from it. Just like every star now does when caught saying something in poor taste.

More people should hate the Lakers. Go Garnett.

This has nothing to do with hating the Lakers. That’s an ignorant point of view. This is about treating people the right way. If this is true, then this guy needs a slap along side his head. Sign the basketball and quit acting like a tool.

I don’t like the Lakers but seriously? You’re going to be a tough guy on a ball BOY?

  3. sknut - Jan 31, 2011 at 9:47 AM

    Garnett has no class.

  4. pff - Jan 31, 2011 at 10:13 AM

what a piece of garbage. without basketball this guy would be bussing tables at a Dennys. GFY, KG

Hate the Lakers…that’s fine, who really cares, that’s what an opposing team is suppose to do.. Acting like a stubborn child to an adoring ball boy who happens to work for the Lakers.. Geez. I use to have so much love for KG, but he keeps showing his true colors and they are getting pretty ugly to look at..

Its only offensive if he punches the kid after he says what he did. Let him be who he is….remember this is the Lakers and Celtics here…If KG Tells the ballboy in Cleveland the same thing, then yeah hes an ass…

Yea, i’m not a laker hater, but i dont care too much for them. But thats just low. He was just a kid KG.

Kevin Garnett – not a role model.
Well, maybe a role model for anyone wanting to be an a**hole!

Not a Lakers fan at all. KG is a piece of trash. That kid he said that to is twice the man KG will ever be. Shame on you KG, you POS!!!!!

  11. jimsjam33 - Jan 31, 2011 at 7:47 PM

Kevin Garnett , God blessed you with a basketball body and the skills to go along with it . He also gave you the choice to act like a fool or be kind to everyone who admires you because of what God gave you . Your skills will fade away soon enough , but when do you learn to be a decent human being to your fellow man ? Treat your fellow man the way you would like to be treated Kevin . I believe Jesus gave us this advice a long time ago and his word is still good today .

You guys are driving me nuts with these comments. Boo hoo- KG told a Lakers Ball Boy (who obviously likes the Lakers or he wouldn’t work for them…) to buzz off and all of you guys want to see blood.

  13. avermaver - Feb 5, 2011 at 11:20 PM

kid was probably going to sell the ball, I doubt KG would speak that way to a sweet goodie twoshoes kid like you guys are going to assume he is (Yo KG, sign my ball man)
