Yet another example of how they screw up the system. Lets contract all these small market teams because they aren't real contenders. In the meantime, any big name player should force his way out of said small market team so he can be watched on Television. The players force the problem and then bitch about it. I commend Chris Paul for at least saying something about it.

I think it's interesting how every NFL team used to get a quasi-nationally televised game on ESPN Sunday Night Football. Loved those old Carolina Panther games against the Giants, Falcons or whoever. It was exciting for our crappy team to get the spotlight once a year.

I never knew the details behind why every team got at least one Sunday Night game but I didn't complain. Maybe that's why they changed it to NBC... with flex scheduling. Who knows.

I noticed this back in September when I was contemplating buying NBA League Pass (which I did.) I figured out the number of televised games each team had, which is a max of 34 games per season. Since I like Chris Paul as a player, I looked at New Orleans schedule, and they had 1 ESPN game and 6-7 NBA TV games. I was quite stunned at the time.

Just to add insult to insult, the 1 ESPN game New Orleans got is at Cleveland, which is also Cleveland's only remaining ESPN game (plus one March 17 at Portland on NBA TV.)

The 4 remaining NBA TV games for the Hornets are at Thunder (Feb 2), vs. Minnesota (Feb 7), at Phoenix (March 25), and vs. Phoenix (April 8).
