You’re right that he was never super explosive, but he had a great hesitation move that seemed to be the key to his penetration. He also doesn’t have a great wingspan (a la Mcgrady) to compensate (a little) for the loss of athleticism. Sad prediction–I don’t think he’ll ever be better than a respectable 7th man.
