We have Joe Johnson......THE HIGHEST PAID PLAYER IN THE LEAGUE THIS YEAR !!! He scored 8 points ! That dude is not a competitor. Crawford has more heart than Joe and he comes off the bench many nights.
Fans in Atlanta get a bad rap. The local media say we are not supportive of our franchises ( Hawks, Falcons, Thrashers ). But I work hard for my money. If I pay for " ENTERTAINMENT " I expect to be entertained. Decent season tickets will cost $500 and up, per person. Throw in overpriced parking, food and beer, the total will be well over $1000.00 per year, per person !
That's ALOT of bread to spend to see the doo-doo bird Hawks get blowed out by 50 points or the wingless Falcons get throttled 48-21 !

In a city like Atlanta, there are sooooo many other ways I can " ENTERTAIN " myself...plays, concerts, art exhibits, eateries, University of GA, GA. Tech, Morehouse, Clark Atlanta University sports, resort weekends at Lake Lanier or in the GA mountains, Magic City or other adult entertainment ( a favorite ) !

It's bad economics to make such an investment in Atlanta Sport Franchises because there is no return on the investment. Ownership constantly makes HORRIBLE decisions, like paying Joe Johnson, who at best is a 3rd option, $25 M !

Did the handful of large-margin games help set an NBA record last night? Mostly supported by this blowout and Orlando's 40-point win, the average margin of victory last night in the league was 18.3 points. That seems like a tremendous number. With a set minimum of games played on a single night, do you think 18.3 is a record? Is there anyway/anywhere to find that out?
I'm not sure why that intrigues me. It just does.
