Trade Noah and then have to look for a replacement right?
Dumb.
What the Bulls need is a shooting guard that can also play defense.
The guys that believe that players like Noah are a dime a dozen know nothing about the NBA.
If they can wait and then sign Melo as a free agent then great but you don’t trade away half of your team to get him.
Last I looked the Bulls are 28-14 and leading their division by 10 games and that is with Noah and Boozer out.

They are not desperate for players, wins or attendance.

So you deal Noah plus whatever, and not you still need to pick up a big to fill the gap Noah filled. Doesn’t make sense, as those easy to get bigs, as you say, won’t come free.

Yeah, but how many of those supposedly available 15/10 guys are dogs, or dogs in the locker room. Numbers can be deceiving. There are many players who are me first, who get those 15/10, because that’s all they care about. Winners like Noah are much more valuable than their numbers.

On top of that, its not going to be a straight Noah for Anthony deal. Denver wants Noah to be the main part of the deal coming back, which isn’t going to happen. They’re going to have to make a deal sometime, or they’re going to lose him nothing. Plus, the Bulls need a shooter more than they need a facilitator anyways.

You mistake numbers with effectiveness. A lot of guys who play big minutes can put up double doubles. The sub-.500 teams of the league are filled with them but they are not good centers. They miss assignments, play crappy defense, shoot a terrible percentage, play lazy, etc.

A guy like Noah is an anchor. He knows his role, he is big, active and makes the right defensive moves. You can pair him with a weak defender like Boozer and end up with a real strong front court.

Like Marc Gasol and Zach Randolph. Gasol covers for a lot of Zach’s short comings on defense. Same way that Zach carries the scoring load for Gasol. Its synergistic.

Marc and Noah don’t appear on sportscenter and they don’t have a huge collection of scoring moves but they work hard, bring it every night on defense and keeps the mistakes to a minimum.

Easy as pie my friends…all you need is to watch a lil more basketball.i havnt even had cable in 2 yrs but iv watched basketball long enough to know its not hard ot find someone who gets 15&10 a night…usually 1 on every team,and im sure there are more if more people would get playing time…Stay Thirsty my friends

Why would the Bulls part with Noah? Where are all these nonspecial Double Double guys to replace him. I don’t blame Denver for wanting Noah, but the Bulls need stay away from Melo. Let him go to NY, make a ton of money and enjoy the nightlife. Chicago is a winner without him!

I agree with “pff”. You think guys like Noah are a dime-a-dozen just because he doesn’t score 30-per-game? What he brings to the table, and in the locker room, aren’t things you trade for. Any trade that effectively takes the ball out of Derrick Rose’s hands EVER is a bad move for Chicago. Let ‘Melo go to the Nets or Knicks. In Chicago, the response is, “who cares”.

I still dont know why Chicago is hesitant on giving up Noah.He isnt anything special.you can find guys like him pretty easily i think.Altho i think gettin Anthony would be a mistake for Chicago,they should be happy it would only take someone like Noah to get Anthony maybe trade for him with Noah and then send him on his way to new york or the Nets
