Not so fast though… according to reports, the Bulls are holding internal discussions on Melo. They don’t want to part with Noah, but they can package Deng, Taj Gibson, and picks. Any thoughts?

Denver is the big loser in this situation as of now. They're in a "we can't DEMAND anything" scenario. Hence the problem with superstars and their no-trade clauses and mega-bucks deals. Money, once again, is ruining the sport. Only thing you have to do is commend 'Melo for keeping his level of play high during this whole process. His production, for the most part, hasn't tailed off. Chicago would be stupid to take him. He needs the ball in his hands, effectively reducing Derrick Rose's role. If I'm Chicago, no thanks...

Donnie Walsh needs to watch a few select scenes from Godfather, Part II prior to formulating an offer for Denver. Give them nothing, and tell them that in a collect call! My best offer would be Chandler or Gallinari, Eddy Curry's expiring contract and a #1. Why offer more than that? It's clear Anthony wants to be here and is not going to accept a deal anywhere else.

Can somebody please explain to me why Knicks would trade for Melo? If he!s got a no trade clause and wants to be a Knick, then he can just sign with Knicks as a free agent. Hense, the Knicks keep the picks and add to the talent.
