I think the great John wooden said, “you would be a fool to treat your best player the same as the worst player” When the lights come on he shows up! Kobe is not some unproven amateur, he gives the fans exactly what they pay for entertainment at the highest level in his sport. Practice is important but not at the cost of him not being able to perform when it matters most in games where we fans spend our hard earned money. I remember when I flew to Miami to watch Alonzo Mourning play and he was ejected in the first two minutes of the game because of an over zealous official who thought everyone was there to see him officiate. We fans pay to see players play and display God given talent and that shouldn’t be hindered by nonsense…! I felt cheated and still do til this day….
