This is ridiculous. Telling Cleveland he was gone would have ruined an entire year of basketball. Not just for the Cavs but for everybody. Thank God he didn’t do that and we could actually take the 2010 playoffs seriously.

except for the fact, franchise players in there prime dont get traded very often, let alone just letting them walk away with no contract…so actually its nothing like what teams do to players….lebron was the whole city and the ownership gave into every demand he wanted, but he left them high and dry. “the nba business” applies to every player not named: kobe, lebron, wade, durant, etc…everyone else is subject to be screwed so dont give me the whole “he just did what nba teams do to players” anyone in there right mind knows it different when comes to megastars. end of story

Couldn’t agree more. I didn’t see any backlash towards the organization when they shipped Big Z to washington with ease. Fans didnt criticize ol Danny one bit. But he bails and he’s so hated? I dont care how he did it. Z gave cleveland 11 good years and the fans didn’t care.

he did what was best for LeBron just like 99% of people do daily. Let’s not forget that he was signed by the Cavs and traded to the Heat, so they received a modicum of compensation with 4 draft pics.

Frankly, I am tired of hearing about how and why Lebron left Cleveland; I don’t remember anyone shedding this many tears over spilt milk when Abdul-Jabar left Milwaukee, Chamberlain left Philly, Barkley left Philly, Dr J left New Jersey, Moses left Houston, Walton left Portland, Payton left Seattle, DJ left Seattle, Malone left Utah, Boozer left Utah, Stoudamire left Phoenix, et. al.
