The banner I remember flying over the stadium said “Will Rogers never met Albert Belle”. Accurate and but hardly derogatory.

Yes, Belle was an a–hole, but he was a great baseball player and based on his statistics and performance on the field, he should be in the Hall of Fame. It is sad the amount of votes he got and is no longer on the ballot to get in. Ty Cobb is in the HOF, and he would make Belle look like a frikin saint.
