Quote of the Day: LeBron says that everything is completely relatively fine between him and Spoelstra

Nov 29, 2010, 6:53 PM EDT

“”I didn’t realize. I don’t think Coach realized it either, until it was brought up to our attention. Incidental contact.”

– Heat forward LeBron James on the “bump” that recently occurred on the court between James and Heat coach Erik Spoelstra.

LeBron and Spoelstra then went on to say some semi-reassuring things about the state of their relationship: LeBron said that his relationship with his coach is “getting better,” saying he hasn’t been around Spoelstra long enough for their relationship to be “great at this point.” Spoelstra said that there is some “healthy conflict” with the team, and also said that “one of the hardest things in this league is to get NBA players to do things they don’t want to do.”

(Hat tip to ESPN’s Brian Windhorst and Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun-Central for the quotes.)

did it to each of his old coaches too, seems like the bump of death for the coach. when riles comes down to coach it will be curious to see if he gets bumped. just remember riley said that if it was in best for team he would return.

yea like he did not do the same thing to his coach in cleveland,he is the only player bumping his coach and has done it twice. how long before he and his crew act all shock and dismayed when they get rid of him? the guy is a great ball player who also is a spoiled brat used to getting whatever he wants and people are now seeing him for the jerk he realy is. he and his buddies keep looking for other people to blame without realizing they are the ones who brought on all the hype with the show they put on with signing and predicrions of multiple championships. now that things are not going as planned the “king” blames everybody but himself.the coach is not letting them play his game or have fun?you basicly are playing street ball where they give you the ball and go one one how is that not your game?you are getting paid to play ball not have fun deal with it! can’t wait to see how much fun he has playing for riley!
