Make it a hard requirement for ownerships groups to not be able to spend more on payroll than their franchise takes in. The owners could fix things themselves by not offering the ridiculous contracts and living within their means. But Noooo, they choose not too and blame someone or somebody else for creating their financial predicament. Who can blame a player for jumping at the chance to get paid?
