I love it! Bill Walton the same guy who a few years ago said the same thing about KOBE BRYANT now calls out Melo... Also as a huge advanced stat nut, there is plenty of data claiming that Kobe isn't remarkably efficient either, but he has how many rings??? The pairing of Melo in New York isnt just "Melo scores a bunch of points, he'll win us a ring" When speaking of a player's efficiency can anyone name 5 players more efficient at scoring than Amar'e? Didnt think so.. couple that with a high volume scorer like Melo (who by advanced metrics actually IS EFFICIENT true shooting% last season was at .564, higher than all but 4 of D-Wade's seasons, and all but TWO OF KOBE'S!!!)there is no doubting how dangerous an offensive two-some that is. Not to mention if we can put those two on the floor together is there any doubt that CP3 will soon follow? No Melo is not LeBron, or Durant or even Wade, but Melo + Amar'e probably equals Paul. i dont think anyone can argue against that.
