We have a new low: Ohio radio station hires witch doctor to curse LeBron

Oct 26, 2010, 4:56 PM EDT

And now we have reached what we can only hope is the nadir of the LeBron James hatred. It’s probably not. Probably not close. Sadly. But we can hope.

“Rover’s Morning Glory,” the morning show for WMMS-FM in Cleveland, hired a witch doctor to put a hex on LeBron. Said doctor used bones, blood and a James jersey to do the curse.

Cursing him as punishment for living up to his contract then exercising free will and choosing to go elsewhere.

Look, I get it, this was handled very poorly. Frankly, Carmelo Anthony is being fairer to Denver — he has made it clear he is leaving and Denver can decide how to handle this, rather than finding out on a national television show and getting nothing in return for the superstar. There is no good way for a star to leave a team, but some are better than others.

But seriously, a witch doctor? That’s what we’ve come to? Besides, it’s not going to work. You know the only way to get the gods angry enough to punish James is if he steals Jobu’s rum, right?

if you are going to reference a movie that’s beloved by Clevelanders in efforts of mocking them, at least get it right. It is Jobu you hack.

with that said, it is a morning radio show and if you take it seriously you are an idiot.

hey Kurt, have you ever mentioned anything about Cleveland that wasn’t in relation to LeBron?

sorry ljl2, but what is there to mention? the fumble? the drive? ummm… the ravens?

Rover is a talent-free moron who came crawling back to the trashiest station in Cleveland after discovering he couldn’t hack it in Chicago. Please don’t give him any attention.
