another thing. lets not forget that LeBron started his twitter right around the time that he made "the decision." so it shouldn't be a shock to anyone that he has been getting harrassing comments everyday. For a guy who shied away from the spotlight off the court in Cleveland, he sure is trying to do everything he can to get as much of it as he can now. (trying to assert himself as top dog in Miami?)

I think this is just as bad as anybody else but to use this as a way to play victim because a few people who were gonna have this opinion no matter if he stayed or went because they are inherently racist is just sad. What's even worse is that the media fell for it. Every athlete deals with racism, but to play victim for people being upset about your promises of loyalty and then turning your back on those, it doesn't make you the victim when moderate, mainstream people get upset.

I'm a Heat fan, born and raised, grew up 15 minutes from the old Orange Bowl, and I'm just ASTONISHED at how personal people take sports. I live and die by my teams, but if a player leaves for another opportunity, it is what it is and it's there right. He didn't force a trade (ala 'Melo) but served his time and left when his contract was up. Dolphins fans were livid when Jason Taylor left for the Jets and I just don't understand why. You do not OWN these athletes. Yes, you "pay" their salaries by going to games, but you're paying to see them by choice, you're not obligated to.

Obviously "The Decision" was a terrible choice, and embarrassing for not only him but the whole city of Cleveland, but it's not like he's been busted for driving drunk, raping, killing, beating up someone or kiddie porn.

What's insane to think about is the amount of emails, tweets, etc. that he's received and that he's just now publishing them. Sounds like a lot of the hate towards him is race related.

I'm no LeBron fan.

I'm not against him leaving Cleveland but I don't approve on how he chose to leave the team.

But that being said, no matter how much I question his maturity, no one, not even LeBron, deserves to be insulted that way. Bad breeding and despicable class-less behavior can never be justified.
