Dan Gilbert opened his mouth on the internet again. It went about as well as last time.

Oct 2, 2010, 9:07 AM EDT

Hi, everybody! (Hi, Dan Gilbert
cavsdan

Okay, Dan.Might be time for some therapy. Because if you plan on owning the Cavaliers for a long time? This will not be the last 25-year-old to bolt for greener pastures. Maybe you’ll find a player like Kevin Durant who just wants to stay where he’s at and loves, you know, cold weather and Cleveland’s scenic vistas.  But this focus on taking shots at a player who is no longer part of your team? Doesn’t come off well. Except to Clevelanders. Pretty sure they love you even more now.

This is going to be such a great rivalry. When the Cavs beat the Heat, and they will eventually, there’s going to be a righteous party in Cleveland. Probably at Dan Gilbert’s house.

    Really?

    Dan who?
    Cavs who?
    LMAO

  4. Kyle - Oct 2, 2010 at 10:45 AM

The Cavs will never beat the heat as long as lebron is playing or even after that because their franchise blows and nobody wants to play for that owner and that sorry city

INTERPRETATION: WHAT GILBERT “REALLY” MEANT IN HIS OPEN LETTER ABOUT LEBRON —–> http://clicky.me/rSI

  6. Kyle - Oct 2, 2010 at 11:09 AM

Uh, I don’t view what Gilbert tweeted is 100% directed at Lebron. That statement could apply to anyone. What’s YOUR problem however? Why you all on Lebron’s tip like this lately? How old are YOU? You take cheap shots at a city like that too? It’s okay you don’t like Cleveland and can’t imagine anyone wanting to live there, but why take shots at that city knowing the people who live there love it and are proud to live there? How old are YOU?

Whatever happened to freedom of speech. The last time I heard that was still one of our constitutional rights. Mr. Gilbert didn’t label anyone, and if individuals feel that he did, well that’s your crap to deal with.
I lived in Parma a suburb of Cleveland for many years, and I loved Cleveland. I am a proud Indians, Browns, and Cavaliers fan. Just remember one man doesn’t make a team. Lebron is a good player, the best, not. He’s one individual, and without the supporting cast, he might end up being just another basketball player, or a washup.
Keep it real Mr. Gilbert, and you have alot of CAVS fan’s on your side. So sick of Lebron playing the race card.

Coach Scott is already figuring out how to put an early dent in the Miami Bore’s aura of invincibility. He’s getting the Cavs in shape. Just picture LeBron who was too out of gas to beat Paul Pierce to a jump ball when old man Pierce eliminated the Cavs two seasons ago. Picture LeBron with his legs cramping and needing IVs if he had to interrupt his pattern of really taking off all the 4th quarters 2 seasons ago and has to play against a team that makes him run. Just picture Lebron being shocked out of having the chance to have a tete a te with the ref every time up the court when he sees the ball in the hole while he’s still pizzing and moaning to the ref. Oh, well no more years of watching LeBron walk it up the court or walk along side the point guard with his hand out always wanting to turn NBA ball into the LeBron walk-a-thon.
    Ignore the Bore!

My god, you are truly terrifying the way you hurl those teenager-like insults at people on the internet!
I’m sure unicorn will never post online again now that he knows what “Chris” thinks of him.

The guy is a fool. Don’t preach when you fall into the same category. Dan Gilbert doesn’t seem like a nice guy at all so that quote applies to him as well.

The guy is a fool. Don’t preach when you fall into the same category. Dan Gilbert doesn’t seem like a nice guy at all so that quote applies to him as well. He’s not even a true business professional and being the owner of the cavs and chief of Quicken Loans, he is truly a good example of how not to handle your composure and be a professional since after all the NBA is a business first.

You’re a pathetic, sad individual. Get a life, dude.

  16. Sguy2130 - Oct 3, 2010 at 12:45 AM

Yet another reach. Gilbert has said similar statements to this prior to Lebron leaving…. I’m glad this site of “writers” has morphed into internet trolls…they really pay you clowns for this?
What a joke. Bash Cleveland – check. Bash Dan Gilbert – check. Congrats Matt you are now a writer…
Seriously do you pick up your material from ESPN.com message boards?…yes it is really that bad bro.
