Heat first practice "intense," LeBron has ice on elbow

Sep 28, 2010, 2:30 PM EST

Thumbnail image for Heat_logo.gifThere was no discussion of it and it is probably nothing, but you had to notice — LeBron James had an ice pack on his right elbow, the one that gave him problems though the playoffs, after the Heat’s first day of practice Tuesday.

What should we read into that? Not much. NBA teams go through more ice at the end of a practice than Matsumoto Shave Ice does on a hot day. Everybody gets everything wrapped in ice. Still, something to watch going forward.

Aside that, the reports from our man Ira Winderman from the South Florida Sun Sentinel and Michael Wallace of the Miami Herald are of a pretty intense first practice. A lot of pent up energy to be burned off. As Winderman quoted Bosh saying:

“Everything is going to be intense the first day. It’s sustaining that intensity.”

Wallace added “LeBron’s 4-man team of Pat Beverley, Joel Anthony and James Jones dominated last stretch of work.”

Aside that, media didn’t get to see much of real interest. Nor will they all week — that was the reason the Heat took off to Eglin Air Force Base near Pensacola in the first place. To get the Heat to bond away from prying eyes for a week.

So, we’ll keep prying and brining you updates. Because we care.

LeBoring James, the King of Choke, should put that ice pack on his swollen head to bring down that overinflated ego of his. So funny how amatuerish the Heatstroke are compared to the Repeat World Champion Lakers who are going back to fundamentals and taking it easy in training camp. Because the Heatstroke are trying to be intense so early they’re going to run out of mental gas come the playoffs. But then the Heratstroke have some unknown goofball at coach named Spoelstra who doesn’t know what he’s doing while the Lakers have Phil Jackson – the Zenmaster! The Heatstroke don’t have any good big men and won’t get past Orlando or Boston in the playoffs because little primadonna James doesn’t do rebounding or defense. Just watch as the Repeat World Champion Lakers Threepeat next June!

Sorry John, but I’m sick and tired of racist b*llsh*t like yours; LeBron hasn’t accomplished anything (yet) but his ego commands his name be in every magazine and sportscast from here to freaking China. Win a championship, then start flapping your yap. Until then, STFU. Every time a black guy gets criticized, it’s blamed on the “white” media. Screw you. In case you hadn’t noticed, it’s the WHITE owners and the predominantly WHITE crowds at games that foot the bill for making poor, little Lebron the multimillionaire he is… despite accomplishing NOTHING. You want the adulation, be prepared to get the criticism too. And quit playing the race card. That went out the door with Lincoln.

LeBron needs to quit stroking himself or that’s never going to heal.

If the Heat does NOT make it to the finals; Will “The THRICE needs better support players around them” count as an excuse?

It appears that all we will hear from the media this NBA season is the HEAT! Did the media forget the Lakers are reigning champions and the current Heat roster has yet to win a game? Don’t forget the Celtics retooled this year and Orlando will have a say. But, as usual, the media has already crowned the Heat i.e. take a look at ESPN website – they will have a page this season exclusively dedicated to the Heat. Of course, they already sold out to LeBron.
Of course, the rest of the country will have the last laugh when the Heat don’t win the Championship. Remember, as LeBron repeated again, it isn’t bust, its about championships. ESPN, all media, David Stern, and Pat Riley will have egg on their faces when Heat don’t win it. Then there will be a lockout and with a hard cap, the heat will be forced to break up the 3 EGOS. So sometime in 2012/2013, normalcy will return to the NBA and once again it will be proven it takes 1-12 guys to win a championship, not three egostars and a bunch of has beens.
Thank G-d for football, college basketball, and MLB playoffs. P.S. I’m sure Pat Riley will be on the bench before season over and when they don’t succeed, we will hear alot of excuses.

Wow, after seeing Lebron w/out his headband that cats hair is falling out like mad!! He looked like he should be 50. Hit the rogaine king or maybe the Bosley hair clinic, you got to spen that cash somehow.
