Jamal Crawford not worried about contract extension

Sep 27, 2010, 6:36 PM EDT

Atlanta Hawks guard and reigning 6th Man of the Year award winner Jamal Crawford is entering the last year of the 7 year, $55.44 million contract, but he’s not letting contract negotiations become a distraction to him.

When asked about his contract extension, Crawford was nonchalant, saying that “If [an extension] doesn’t work out we’ll cross that bridge when we get there.” With a new CBA looming, Crawford and his camp will almost certainly want to get an extension done this off-season, but with Crawford having found his role in Atlanta, it appears that money may be a secondary concern for him right now.
