Hey Lupe, It’s pretty balsy to compare Bynum to Kobe. Bynum is a “nice” player in an era of mediocre big men(i mean true Centers). He does not have the intensity and focus of the great Centers like Kareem, Olajuwon, Ewing, etc. Can you imagine what an asset he would be to the Lakers if he was as tough as Alonzo Mourning? He plays with great players and therefore his stats look good and his liabilities are minimized. I am glad that he is on my favorite team but I am not holding my breath that he is going to mature into an all-time great.

Kobe had surgery at the same time for the same reason. He wanted to see the world cup. So I guess he’s not matured either? Give Bynum a break, after all the effort he put in the Finals.

I have often stated that Bynum is DAMAGED GOODS, both physically and mentally. I screamed when he selfishly postponed knee surgery after the end of the season.
Professional Basketball Players have such a short playing life expectancy. They all possess such God giving talent to perform at a professional playing level.
Too bad God forgot to include mental talent in Bynum’s physical talent package.
Bynum having to play into shape at a regular season level, instead of go at your own speed summer camp, will lead to more injuries. Wait and see.
As soon as he gets into shape….trade his ass.

very disappointed in Bynum, this just shows he’s not mature enough and does not have the committment to the Lakers, you know the people paying his salary. As it is, he’s slacked off 3 years already and he owes the Lakers and the fans some playing time. IT’s just hard trying to stay a Bynum Fan, when he doesn’t take being a Laker, seriously, IS CHRIS MIMM STILL AVAILABLE?, HA, HA, !!!

Actually…I’m alright with this…Lakers only need Bynum in the playoffs. Let him rehab now and not play till Feb/Mar. He will have fresh legs for the playoff run. I think Kobe and the crew would be alright without him in the regular season. As far as the cracks on Bynum never amounting to be an all-star…I don’t think he cares…its all about the rings.

I have no problem with his decision not to ruin his vacation and putting the surgery off, he ruined his knee on company time.I hope
he will qualify for workers comp, how will he feed his family.

I absolutely agree…I’m so tired of this Bynum. He will never amount to an All Star because he can’t ever be healthy for more than two months. He’s been in the league like 5 years already. He should have taken care of this surgery immediately after the season. With Barnes, Blake, & Ratliff they’ll need to work on chemistry but I guess Bynum will be doing his most favorite activity ——REHABBING….AGAIN
