I love the fact that Darius is back in the League. I know he better take full advantage of the opportunity in front of him. Its good to see someone from my hometown hooping in the NBA. I bet you want Miles on your team, if he does anything for the Bobcats it would be amazing. I actually like Miles, just constantly disappointed by him. He can play D but rarely locks down on it and he tries to do mostly things he’s not good at on offense. If he would take on a role as a stopper on D he might be able to get some minutes. I wouldn’t even want him for the minimum tho, so good luck next season

If they sign him they’ll be even more longer, athletic, versatile, and they can be intimidating defensivley with their length.
Their players have great length, athleticism and defensive tools for as long wingspans and quickness. Darius Miles can make them better and can’t hurt them. Good luck.

Shaun Livingston had upside and potential coming out of hightschool as a lottery pick. Then he had a career threatning injury and many thought his career was over. He loved the game and worked hard to come back and played very well ever since. Darius Miles also had upside and potential coming out of highschool as a lottery pick. He too had a bad injury and hade knee surgery. Many thought his career was over. He worked hard and made it back to the league with Memphis and played solid. In Memphis he wasn’t 100% healthy and he had little athleticism. Now he’s 100% healthy and has gotten his athleticism back and has improved other aspects of his game. Now he just needs a chance and he can do what Shaun Livingston did. It’s all about chance and opportunity. They also signed Kwame Brown, who was a no.1 overall pick out of hs, hasn’t lived up to expectations and is getting another chance with the guy who drafted him in Jordan. If they can get a chance, then so can Darius Miles.

Nice move Bobcats. This is going to be a new Darius Miles. He’s bulked up, improved his jumpshot, work ethic and he seems more mature. He just wants a chance. He also gotten his athleticism back. He still super long and can help some team and hopefully the Bobcats. God bless you man.

Back in the day D.Miles was unstoppable. He had the like Kevin Garnett/Kevin Durant without the jumpshot. That is a scary type of player. Nowadays he’s been working on his jumper, finesse game and basketball IQ now that he lost those hops. Now he’s got his athleticism back he has a more improved game and understanding. He now appreciates this opportunity and has a better work ethic. Good luck and I hope to see you in the NBA this season and many more to come.

Do you play ball? Do you follow it closely? He played well when he got the minutes with the grizzlies, still showing pretty solid athleticism, an improved mid range jumper effort on defense, locked down big power forwards like Al Jefferson and LaMarcus Aldridge when given the chance, and was stronger now that he’s older (which is why he was able to guard guys like that in the post).
And if you look up his metric stats from his career, he’s actually a beast on defense. Aside from his rookie season, I believe (which is understandable), and when he played with that horrible cavs team in ’02 – 03 that won (the first) LeBron James Sweepstakes.
A lesson for life in general: don’t talk like you know about what you don’t know about. Another: Stop hatin’.

Miles is garbage. He can’t shoot outside of two ft. can barely handle the ball, and plays weak d at best. He can play maybe the 3 or 4 spot but wouldn’t be ideal for either as he is too slow or weak depending on the position. He has never been very good so I don’t know why any of you are excited, if he’s got some athleticism back then maybe he could come off the bench for a few minutes a game but I wouldn’t wish that for any team I remotely liked or followed.

Great. Just great. He just needs a chance and he’s going to make the best of it. Him potentially coming back and being somewhat of what he once was is great. I think he’s a better player now. When he lost his athleticiscm, he learned to appreciate his God given ability. He started working on other things like his jumpshot and IQ. When he comes back, he’s going to teach little kids and adults that if you truly love something, you go get it and keep it alive in your heart. You can get through anything if you just believe in God.

D.Miles is one of my favorite basketball players. Super long and still has some hops after the injury. He’s a great character guy and has changed his ways. He’s managed to stay positive and work to get to this point. He’s a good all around player. He said he’s improved his jump shot too. So I hope Charlotte gives him a chance too make the team and be a part of what their trying to do. If Shaun Livingston can have such a tragic injury and comeback, then Darius Miles can too. I want them to prove the doubters wrong. Never say never and never give up. Love is Love.

Thank you Bobcats, for giving my boy Darius Miles a chance. I really hope he makes the team. He’s been through injuries and drug problems in his once promising career. I really think he can play in this league and be effective. He’s still a 6-9 player who can handle the rock, pass and driving to the basket. It seems that he might be more athletic than he’s ever been after his injury. He might not be the All-Star type player he once was, but he can help some NBA team. He can also defend, rebound, block shots and get steals. He said he has gotten somewhat of his athleticism such as leaping ability and quickness. He can basically play the 1-4 positions. In closing, I wish him the best and I pray the Bobcats or any team allows him to showcase what he can do and remind GMs that he’s still a good player. God Bless.
