Jamison says what we all now know: The chemistry in Cleveland was not all that good

Thumbnail image for Jamison_Game_Bulls.jpgAntawn Jamison is doing it right — if your going to get in some summer tournament action in to have some fun, do the one in Paris.

Jamison was in the City of Lights for “NBA 5 United” basketball tournament organized by Adidas, and there Hoopnotes.com caught up with him and talked with him about his time with the Cavaliers.

I arrived in Cleveland and tried to adapt myself, to melt myself in the collective. And then there was the elimination in the playoffs while we were there favorites and we realized that the chemistry was not good in the team. After that you ask yourself lots of questions, you think on how to come back stronger the following season.

Those questions are sort of moot now, Cleveland is going to have issues.

But combine his comment on chemistry with what Shaquille O’Neal said about guys being concerned about who was getting how many shots and you start to get the picture. You can be sure that Boston and the Lakers were not thinking like that.

As for this upcoming season…

In my case, [coach Byron Scott] expects me to be a leader on the field and that’s what I want to be. His systems suited me well. It will be close to what that were put in place in Washington on the offensive side. This year we will seek to progress as a team and we have the right coach for this.

And this is going to improve in Miami HOW?

Because Pat Riley won’t allow it and the biggest ego of all time, Shaq, doesn’t have a spot on team.
The biggest misconception about this team is that they’re just a bunch of random guys who have no history with each other. You have LBJ, Bosh and Wade, who are all very good friends. You have Wade, Haslem, Chalmers, Jones, Arroyo and Magloire, who were all on the Heat roster last year. You have LBJ and Big Z who were teammates in Cleveland. You have Mike Miller who named his son after Maverick Carter and is good friend with LBJ. And you have Eddie House, who was on the Heat roster before and is familiar with how Pat Riley runs his teams.
Pat Riley, who wouldn’t tolerate BS in the locker room, unlike Mike Brown, Danny Ferry and Dan Gilbert.

Who the frack cares about Miami? They are a bunch of losers, who had to create an unfair situation by banning together, since they couldn’t win a championship alone. Wade may have won one, but he wasn’t going to be doing it again, given what they had there. So LeLoser and Chris BUSH can just go to the devil!

The NBA can fold up and disappear and I wouldn’t miss it. It is a very fixed corrupt league in which the Commish should wear a dress since he has no gonads to run the league! LBJ had a right as a free agent to choose where he wanted to play, It’s the way he did it, The one hr TV thing, showing total contempt for the fans who supported him for 7 yrs and for the team who did everything they could to make him happy! He played the Bulls,Knicks,Nets and the Clippers and even more so the Cavs. His intentions to join Wade and the Heat was made 2 yrs ago, The whole FA stuff was just a game for him. I know so. My friends wife met Wade last May at a party in NY, Wade basically told her so, that LBJ was coming to the Heat.If was just a media scam.
