South Florida cops do this all the time. They impound the car and charge a $1000 “bond” to get the car out of the tow yard. Thats paid to the municipality before going to the tow company and paying them too. The City Of Miami was sued for this and lost a class action suit. Florida Highway Patrol arrested Haslem,so I guess they need to be sued and forced to stop too. Most people are so busy fighting the criminal charges that they miss the deadline to appeal the $1000.

Are we still wasting our time for what at worst is a harmless vice? Notice that Haslems a model citizen except for this “surprise”. Perhaps we should encourage him to take a legal american drug like booze.
